Looks great keep up the good work....
Also, when building an aircraft, the metal skins were never exact, as the metals were of differant manufactures, and some were older orders.....Plus some aircraft corperations kept the metal outdoors under canopies....
So from my point it looks great....

Very nice, although I think it could do with a bit more shininess... There isn't really a way to copy some of the "Living Metal" from the B-17 is there? I just feel like there's some illusive quality to making bare metal really look like bare metal rather than a metallic gray...

Moving on, since this appears to be a "factory fresh" paint you may want to add in the clean, early model tires available here: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=28206&p=215375#p215375

Keep up the good work!

There isn't much you can do about outright 'shine'. I originally wanted my scheme to have the same 'shine' as Jankees 'Flying Abortion' P-47 paint. I even sampled the 'silver' from his P-47 paint for main/alpha, spec/alpha textures but just couldn't get the same shine on my P-40 scheme. It has to do more with the model I think.

I have to concur with Pilottj about it needing to be modeled in for a polished look. Certainly, my Photoshop skills are very limited, but after a few hours experimenting for that same metal look as on the P-47 on the P-40, there has to be more to it than just adjusting the spec textures. Thus, one of the reasons I opted to give this plane more of a worn metal look since a true factory fresh look is above my pay grade.

Yeah, I figured as much. Still looks great, though!
