Better still, what if Goose had survived that ejection :P

It would have killed the story that's what!

Ah, the memories! Back in 1986 me and my stupid friends almost got kicked out of the movie theatre for yelling, towards the very end, "Maverick, let Iceman DIE!!"
Stupid kids....but every time I see that movie I think the same thing! :)

Nice! Nostalgia is an incredible euphoria at times. Movies and music trigger it like nothing else. If I hear "Danger Zone" I MUST see some aerial combat or I have to end the listening lol.

Same here. How can you honestly practice carrier take-offs in FSX without it playing.

Its a shame it turns out that in reality Val Kilmer was the nice guy and it was Tom Cruise that was the arrogant loutish *****

Planes that turn are much more fun than those that burn, usually. I'd rather have a radial-engined Goose, and get a PT-6 later on, but those turbines are so easy, so boring in comparison. Of course that B-36 has siz turning four burning so I guess that would solve all our problems

 I beg to differ I have flown both and had a lot more fun in a turbine powered A/C than slogging around in a round engine. Might be because it was an open cockpit biplane and it was cold :|

TJ-

Have you seen this? http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/fil ... redux-120/ It is a reworked updated version of the Default FSX Goose... I have not tried it, but it might be at least a step in the direction you're looking for. If you install it, make sure you backed up your original Goose, as it looks like this will overwite it otherwise.

Joe

PS I knew this would turn into a Top Gun thread 8)

The OZx Goose is the ONLY goose to fly in FSX. They've done a fantastic job on her.
