Well it's been quite a while since I first found out that A2A was developing the Phantom. I really can't wait for it. The F-4 Phantom II is my favorite military jet aircraft OF ALL TIME! Is there any possible release date or expected amount of time left before the product goes on the market?

I really enjoyed Scott Gentile's appearance on FSBreak's podcast. You scared me a bit by repeatedly referring to the jet project as "The F-104". Glad to see you're still concentrating on the F-4 Phantom. Phew!

F-104 from what I can tell is the first one off the rank, and then the F-4 once they have the ability to do dual engines. So I guess it's going to be some time off before we see it.

The Phantom 3dmodel is mostly built and textured in detail, but while making the model used to be the central piece of making an aircraft, with Accu-Sim it is now the first step.

We are testing our Warbirds atm, and once these are out, we plan to start testing the F-104. This will be a bit longer as this 104 will require us completing the turbojet module for Accu-Sim. Once this plane is complete, we should have most of the components ready for building an Accu-Simmed, twin-engine Phantom.

It is very hard to predict any release dates for any plane beyond the one on the front burner.

Scott.

P-40 is next. Once that is out we will know what is following that.

Good Morning!
Image

Friend of mine that I work with who is a retired Weapons TSgt from my Squadron was telling me about a guy he used to work with that was an Ex - F4 Engine Mechanic in the Marines. (Whole story came up after I mentioned the A2A project.)
He asked him "Why the hell would you want to work on that? It's a giant brick!"
He simply said "That's why we had 2 engines"

Actually it wasn't all that bad, though the F-5 (T-28) was way better considering aerodynamics (technology-wise). You couldn't really make aircraft of that performance and payload be any better at that time.
