Have tried to fix by removing all addon textures, and and have also tried a full repair, but not even the default MkIIa duck egg green spinner comes up in correct colour. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks ...

Have you loaded the flight, and they still show up black, or do they only show up black in the FSX preview (select aircraft) screen? The rotating preview image doesn't account for the prop options, in my experience. For example, it its always a 3 blade in the rotating preview regardless of the prop that actually loads when in the flight.

Thanks for the response. The spinner colour always comes up accurately in the aircraft preview, but then shifts to black in the exterior view when the flight starts up.

After a full WoP3 uninstall/reinstall it came up with the correct colour (default Polish sqdn. aircraft) in external view, but after engine startup it went back to black and stayed that way.

Hi again, blackhawk. In the end the reinstall combined with just using Shift-7 to change props seems to have settled things down, and now have the spinner showing during flight in external view. Thanks again ...

... and then again, with the K5054 prototype repaint, for example, all I can get is the right (blue/metal) spinner with the wrong (3-bladed) prop. Maybe WoP3 picks up on the previously loaded texture or something -- but don't have time to test.

graaant,

Lewis will know best, but I don't believe this is a glitch. In my experience, the 2 blade props draw their hub color from the blade texture (black), and the 3 blade props from the hub "section" of the paint.

When you say you change the props in the maintenance hangar (shift+7) and one "works" with the prop hub color, and one does not. I believe this is correct behavior the way things are set up between the model and the textures.
Again, I'll yield to Lewis...

Hi Lewis: This is with Accusim.

Blackhawks, if, as you say, the 2 blade props draw their hub color from the blade texture (black), the 3 blade props from the hub "section" of the paint, it may not be possible, from the sound of it, to get an historically accurate 2 blade/spinner combination.

Apart from anything else, am considering doing a repaint of the prototype, and obviously want to get things right (there is one K5054 prototype repaint out there, but may try an earlier prototype paint job, from pix showing an unpainted engine cowling -- but am not yet sure that the aircraft actually flew in that condition).

Yes, the 2-blade propeller spinner is always black, it takes the color from the (black) blade. The 3-blade propeller spinners have their own dedicated area on the texture. What exact repaint do you want to do?

regards
ROB
