Okay that's a Rar file, similar to zip files, it's just another type of compression. You will need to extract it to a temp folder, and there should be a txt file that will give you instructions on how to "install" it to your FSX folders. It's usually just a case of copy and paste.

Extract it first, look for a txt file, and we'll go from there okay. Hopefully once you've read it you'll understand what you need to do.

I use 7zip to extract these type of files, because it pretty much does everything I need it to do.

cool nearly there

i got all the menphis belle files extracted and saved in sim objects where the other planes are

but it says to do this

this is interpretation repaint of montgomerys b-17f memphis belle as a b-17g from the 91st BG place the texture folder into your wop2 b17-g then copy text below in to your aircraft cfg and number the xx accordingly
e.g if you have six bombers then change the xx to a seven like this [fltsim.7]

i cant do this bit

then copy text below in to your aircraft cfg and number the xx accordingly

how do i open this cfg file do i need another software like 7zip

thanks

Sorry WOLIN, I recently started work again, and I haven't had the time to even turn the computer on this past week. I've been getting up at 3:30am, and more or less going straight to bed when I get home as it's been so late. Today I had an early finish thankfully, but I'm still very tired and need my bed
I'm so glad you were able to get it all sorted. Now you know how to add repaints to any other aircraft too. Hope you enjoy the paint :)

I like the noseart, but do feel the weathering is a bit over the top...

OK, for an hour now I've been trying to download two of Nath's 401st planes with no success. RapidFire gives me: file not found. Are these no longer available? Or kept somewhere else. I noticed he also has a MediaFire page but I've had no luck there either. I'd love to feature these on the 401st BGA web site along with all the other repaint's that are there.
