Ive taken a while getting all set up to fly a campaign and Ive started reading the manual before I do so. OMG it appears to be very complex. I really dont want to manage the whole battle I just want to follow orders and fly. Please can anyone suggest how to approach a campaign this way ? I want the immersion of being in a squadron etc but not pages and pages of stats and plots etc. I may get into that later but for now I really just want to fly not as any kind of leader.

Many thanks

Yes, try the Singel Pilots Campaign (SPC). It is not been released through the regular menu system. You will need to read and understand the SPC User Manual so you will understand how to envoke, play, and the options you need select. The Cammander Campaign does take a bit of work and understanding to play but it is well worth the effort and is the best most realistic feature of BOBII. The SPC is easy and realistic with few options to master. One of the keys is selecting a Squadron to fly with as you need to pick one who has alot of missions during the different periods of BOB.

The SPC user manual is located in your BOBII folder in the Doc folder assuming you have installed the BOBII 2.1 Update. It will give you the required information to start and play a SPC.

The SPC is also part of the main manual, Section C, starting p154.
The content is identical, but the font is different.

The Commander Campaign is not too difficult and you can learn as you play but some players find the Commander Campaign just a bit to much too comprehend on their time schedule. The single player campaign is easy and you will start you learning on it. On of the best accomplishments in BOBII is to win the Cammamder Campaign and we have had many players share the final screen of victory with us.
