Why Boeing 377 doesn't allow cockpit sharing?

This isn't the place to ask. Please refer to the B377 section with that question,
thanks.

Saturday april 30th session, leg #30, YBCS (Cairns - Australia) to YHID (Horn Island - Australia)

Looks like we were not very fit that day as it took us a very looonnng time to get ready for take-off....
Image

.... and then we copiously screwed-up our take-off procedure (might have helped if the pattern I put in the flight plan had not required tunnels in the hills South of Cairns  )

Follow this plane...
Image

And wait for all to join...
Image

Image

Before climbing to high altitude.
Image

During the cruise we tried to climb in steps to the service ceiling of our Forts. It went beautifully as planned and explained in the Accusim manual again! Around 35000 ft, several B-17s started to report loss of manifold pressure on one or more engines as the turbochargers finally reached their maximum speed. This is called "critical altitude" (page 71 of the A2A B-17 accu-sim manual).

Descending towards Horn Island
Image

And beginning the pattern towards YHID RWY 08, a very short runway (1390 m * 30 m), and with some nasty cross winds to top it off :)
Image

Image

Horn Island, with a beautiful home-made add-on scenery by Paul aka Gypsy Baron

... and angry Aussies firing at us ;) (thanks Paul again)

And debriefing at YHID

Next flight Saturday May 7th to Port Moresby
