Think maybe we need some training time with the Spit? All I can see is Spitfires dropping out of the sky like flies as engines fry, and stuff starts to break. Probably a good idea to see what the limitation are before doing formation flights.

Ok guys, more info to follow but6 for the moment:

1. YES training time will be needed...but I have a schedule of power settings, speeds etc I have worked out and If we operate as a formation, I can watch the engine temps etc while guys learn how to monitor them and what to look for. On climb particularly, squadrons operated like this anyhow!

2. Times etc we need to drill down on...If I know where everybody is, then we can start to fit in...I am GMT +8 and flexible

3. will be gamespy/teamspeak 3...I need to learn a bit of this stuff and Ron is going to give me a hand..cheers mate!!!

I have teamspeak. Not so sure about gamespy... Think the last MP flight I did was on FS Host. I am GMT -5 though. So we are almost on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Would be interesting though. I have thumbed through a good portion of the manual and it doesn't seem that hard to fly after reading it. Will definately take some getting used to as far as seeing what Accu-sim will let us get away with. Do some short range escort and then the B-17's will be left to fend for themselves!

Definately! GMT+1 here. Any thoughts as to where we should fly? I'm thinking perhaps
Biggin Hill to Duxford via Dover and Isle of Wight or something like that. I think a .pln should be uploaded too. I'll be happy to make one if we can agree on the route. :)

That's very cool, email sent. Too bad the Spit hasn't got enough fuel capacity for these flights though. Will this MP crew do spit flights too, is that what you're saying?

The "B-17 guys", are from that thread I pointed to.
I'll be trading in my B-17 for a spit on numerous time every saturday :)
I suppose I would do a quick refuel during the flight.. Though i can't tell yet, as I don't know if that's possible.

The way the Spit handles, it looks like I'm going to have to join the FSX online flying community now. Up until
now it has been just Air Warrior of days gone by, and Aces High. I can't wait to chase a few aircraft around the
virtual skies...bring on some 109's! :)

I just D/L'd Teamspeak 3 and will get through the installation and to the point
where I can ask questions a bit later :)
