The A2A Simulations Community

I've been adjusting graphics settings on my ati card for Red Orchestra (Darkest Hour) and seeing massive jumps in FPS (60 to 200 etc) when I move the sliders in the graphics card control panel.

When I do the same on BOB2 I get no difference in FPS even if I put everything on quality or everything on performace... the FPS stays constant.

The in game settings make more of a difference of course.

I'm just interseted to know why this is?

Also, I've seen conflicting answers as to wether anistropic filtering be application or card controlled. What do people think.

It depend on whether the game is limited (bound) by CPU processor power or video card power.

BOBII is processor bound (bottle necked) first and video card second. I am not sure about other games.

The faster processor (a fast quad processor) is best for BOBII but BOBII will also need a good fast video card or the second bottleneck will come into play.
