Steve,

I think you will find the Spitfire will be a new aircraft built from the ground up,

Isn't A2A using the "solo" P-51/Spit?

I seem to recall mention of using the existing Spitfire, not the existing the P-51. That's the sole reason I have not bought the P-51 yet. I'm waiting for the full Accusim version of the P-51, and then I'll buy it all together.

As for my existing Spit, I'm hoping I don't have to buy another one, just the Accusim to go with what I already have :) Fingers crossed.

Hmmm......guess I'll wait the purchase then until I can be sure. I'm "ALMOST" sure I read that the solo P-51 will not work with Accusim......one will have to purchase the P-51 + Accusim for the new model......I'm just not sure with the Spitfire and I don't want to purchase the Spitfire until I'm sure. Call me cheap. (smile)

Cheers,

My understanding is that the upcoming Spitfire AccuSim pack will be a 'bolt-on' for the current Spitfire Mk. I but AccuSimming it will also add a Mk. II.

Apparently--after other projects are released--there will also be a Spitfire Mk. V and IX AccuSim pack but that will require the purchase of new models.

Early posts about the P-51 project said there would be multiple versions but I don't know if that simply meant several production blocks of the P-51D will be represented or if there will be A-36, P-51B/C, etc. variants as well. I also believe I read that we will have to buy a new Wings of Power 3 model just like we did with the AccuSim Thunderbolt.

I think the P-40 is planned to get the accusim treatment, but will not require a new model as the current one is already a good one. I have been curious where A2A is planning to go in the bomber department. With their entry into the jet age, could we see a B-47 or B-58?

An Accusim B-36....that would be crazy...could they even pull that one off? :D

I also had a crazy idea for a combat sim, what if we could have a combat sim involving cold war era aircraft in a 'what if' hot war that progressed say from the late 40s to say the early 90s or somthing. We could start out flying F-80s,F-84s,s, F-86s, B-50s, B-47s...etc Maybe the player could also choose to fly from the Soviet side too. Anyway just a crazy thought.

I'd love to see a B-29, complete with The Bomb and Bell X-1!

Best regards,
Robin.

Thanks to each of you that addressed my question....I truly do appreciate it.

Well....too confusing for this old brain so guess I'll wait it out like everyone else. As they say...."Good things come to those who wait," and from previous experience....A2A hasn't let anyone down yet. (smile)

Cheers,

Hi,

viewtopic.php?f=28&t=14676&hilit=spitfire+v

Not sure if that changed - the post was quite a while ago.

Best regards,
Robin.

The B-29 is too important to miss being made by A2A.
