Post by Scott - A2A »

Been taking screenshots this beautiful bird all day. This video looks nice, but not nearly as nice as it does in game.

Here are the screenshots we pulled from this flight. You can see, how even high res video still has too much compression to properly capture dark scenes:

It looks wonderful and will probably persuade me to abandon my 'civilian/cargo aircraft only' principles in FSX.

One concern however; the crew look over-illuminated from the cockpit instrument lighting. I don't think anyone's night vision would survive that, so can it be reduced, or is it too late in the day ?

Much of that light is from the sun being in front. But, also, this light is tuned for the virtual cockpit and these lights are not directional, so the pilots do get that red shade at night.

Is everything functionnal in that cockpit? Not like on the accu-sim level, but still, is it?

Okay Scott, thanks for the reassurance. I'm not a warbird enthusiast in FSX, but this aircraft is just too interesting to ignore. Looking forward to flying her.

Speaking of the cockpit any chance of some screen shots of the pit.

Could you show some pics of the radar operator's station? And, does the radar work? How about the guns?

Do the gauges 3D? They seem flat.

Hope I was wrong.

It would be interesting to see how the ejection seat worked considering how close both crew members are so close to each other . :)

Mr. Scott G.,
Lovely screenshots & video; You big tease...

I'm sure that, God Willing, I'll eventually add it to my hanger after the usually users-related-issues (ie. SP's), are resolved. However, is it too much to ask and hope for an answer before release; as to wheather or not it is expected to contain any of the "ACCU-Sim goodies," that I've come to know and love from your products?

PS: Are you able to make 1080p Res. Videos? Your right; even at 720, the video doesn't do it justice.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,

from,
James F. Chams
