Something happened and I don't know what.

Previously my P-51's would have the engine started and idling when I go into FSX.

Now, the engine is stopped and when i do a Ctrl-E it starts and it's like no-one put oil in the engine.
I check and I do not have any failure checked. the engine stops after awhile. If must have siezed.

Help !!!

Is automixture enabled in your realism settings? Are all your realism (difficulty) sliders moved all the way to the right?

Yes, and Yes. But no problems before. If I reset to default it is ok. I will keep checking the settings to see what sets it off. I download real weather which I haven't done before.

Well, so far I think it is that the default tanks have no gas in them. If I fill the tanks they work fine. But what happened to the aircraft already being started when I start in the cockpit ? Also, returning to default setup helped debugging the problem...

Thanks

It seems like you somehow made a saved flight into your default startup flight. Anyhow, if you want to restore your previous default where the engines are already running when you begin the flight:

1. Choose your aircraft and location from Free Flight. Make sure the gas tanks are filled before you launch.
2. Begin the flight.
3. Start the engines; you can use CNTRL+E.
4. After the engines have started, hit the [ ; ] key, or activate the menu bar by holding down ALT and then choose FLIGHTS then SAVE.
5. Enter information in the box to describe the flight you are saving. Ensure that the "Make this the default flight" box at the bottom is checked.
6. Save, and you're done.
