Boreas,

Sorry for this late reply.

Just a thought. I wonder whether cockpit lights and constant brightness levels for luminescent markings (regardless
of lighting conditions) could be achieved without major code changes.

I cannot do much, texture wise, with any of the lights.
As far as the constant brightness levels for luminescent markings (regardless of lighting conditions),
You may have noticed that the gauge face markings, luminescent or not, have different different characteristics as to lighting condition,
than the pointers do.
The gauge face markings stay mostly the same color, while the pointers change color kind of drastically.

Now.. Osram made a SHADER tool that artists (better than me) can change this. Maybe I can make the Gauge face markings
react to lighting conditions more than I have them doing, now.
I have only briefly experimented with this Shader stuff, last year, and made some noticeable effect changes,
but I do not yet really know what I am doing!
FIRST! I got to get all the gauges looking better, and calibrated best I can. Then I can start thinking about Shader effects.

Also I wonder whether the Luftwaffe used a different type of luminescence or florescence.

The radio luminescent paint mix that the Germans used was likely not EXACTLY like that used by the English or the Americans, I suspect.
I would expect it to be very similar, so that I shall not differentiate between the two.
Unless you can find an old ex-LW mechanic and/or an old German that actually painted with this radium paint,
like I did with Prem Holdaway, whom was both, but in England,
for a first hand account of what color it was, I'll make them the same.
The difference would likely be minute.

Hi Jeff,

Commenting on the difference between the hands and the dials. I personally think the dials alter their colours, under the various lighting conditions, fairly close to what luminous paint did. It is the hands that go the wrong colour. The colouring of them should be the same as the dials.

Hope that's of some help.

The tracers are not user modifiable. They are part of the Particle System.

I use a wide screen monitor. Game resolution of 1440 x 900 x 32.

These screen captures are using my menus mod (not yet offered) when I used an older non-wide screen monitor.

May be better to use my (on board) Realtek sound. Primary Driver seems to work OK, tho.

Not using realistic ME109 fuel is like giving your Emils a drop tank. Figured out how many extra liters once, but forgot. Can again.

OK, so I cheat a little bit with the unrestricted padlocking! I do not have TRACKIR. Should get one.
Units of measure does not matter. A bdg.text line will auto switch that, does by default.

The Controls menu is the same pic as this. Lately I am using a Gun Convergence of 200 yards:

My Frag menu looks like this:

You should report that in the Technical forum. Looks like video problem.
I use a NVIDIA 8500 GT and never saw such. I know some ATI video cards and drivers do stange things with terrain textures.

Hhmm? Rummy's DITHERS from his Green Acres mod, are all good for me. :?:
I think you applied one of his older Grass DITHER mods, over, and upon, that?

Muzak-stickman Key Charts

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ymiqmn3lilj

Muzak made the layout long ago. I edited it to keep current with the latest BoBII versions.

Main Keys:

NumPad Keys:

Blank Key Charts are provided, too.

Hoot! I think I came close to Blindly Pinning The Tail On The Donkey!
I understand some of the German words, in pic above, but to calibrate these LW Temperature gauges sehr gut, I may need the help of a real German.

Do you still need to get this page translated? I could do it for you if you like.

da Held,

Only if you think my Emil temperature gauges do not indicate proper.
If so, and my calibrations seem false, any advise to make the Temperature gauges better, is welcome.

Some aircraft specification charts need little or no language interpretation. The numbers speak for themselves.

----

Then, again, I need to understand more German words. So little of them in my limited vocabulary!
If your are offering to translate this page, I would be a fool to turn down your offer.

Bitte,
Jeffrey

P.S.
Your saying Runter kommen sie alle...

I know kommen sie alle means "come you all"
Runter kommen sie alle... means "Around! come you all!" literally,
or "Rally about me!" :?:

I only had High School German, way back in 1972.. Forgive my American ignorance.

The saying "Runter kommen sie alle" means they'll all get down, eventually...

Now to the translation:

first line: ................ Lubricant temperature and pressure

table: .................... Temperature ...................................... at entry .................................. not exceeding

............................ for an elongated period ........................ 30° to 75° ........................................ 95°
............................ for a short time ...................................... 80° .......................................... 105°

2nd and 3rd lines: ...... pressure: at least 2.5 atmospheres (approx. 2.5 bar = 36.74 pound per square inch)
....................................... at the most 6 atmospheres

4th and 5th lines: ...... cooling-water temperature: near the ground at least 60° Celsius (Centigrade would be right as well)
........................... maximum temperature at height:

table: .................... Height in km ... 0 ... 2 ...
.................................. °C ...

6th and 7th lines: ..... fuel pressure: minimum 1.1 atmospheres
........................................... maximum 1.5 atmospheres

8th to 12th lines: ..... o. Fuel-supply measurement in flight
.......................... Supply-gauge at the instrument panel.
.......................... Faultless measurement only in horizontal attitude. Switch for the measuring system at the
.......................... switch panel on the right. After the residue warning light at the instrument panel illumines, there will be
.......................... fuel left for ten minutes of cruising flight.

I hope I could be helpful here. And, by the way, your gauges are beautiful!
And I think the gauges work properly.

Thanks for that, sir.
I never could get the Emil fuel & oil dual pressure gauge to work. Tried all kinds of experiments to get pointers to work.
I gave up on that one. :(
