New version made 3 October, 2009. Much the same as the previous version.

Soupdragon's LuftWaffe Radio

http://rapidshare.com/files/294405365/S ... _Radio.zip

Another website has the RAF Radio that Soupdragon made. Forget where.
I do not think any other site hosts these LW ones, so here they are.
Do I use them? Yes. Mostly to differentiate my voice from external radio calls.

Here is the Readme:

17 October, 2009

This changes the Luftwaffe radio chatter to sound more like it is coming over a radio.

The players own voice sound remains the same, using the old files,
as I feel it is better if my voice sounds different than what is coming in on the radio.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION:

This mod is assembled for use with the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler.
1. If you already have JSGME installed in BoBII, extract the zip to your Battle of Britain II/ MODS folder.

2. If you do not use JSGME, then you should install it. ;)
If you do not use it:
- Back up the LWOTHER, LWOTHEXT, LWPLYEXT, & TOWER1 folders in the case you don't like these.
- Extact the zip to a temporary folder.
- Open the Main folder. Copy and Paste the folders contained to the Battle of Britain II root folder.
This is clumsy and things can go wrong. JSGME automatically backs up the proper files, and installs the mod easily.
It can be uninstalled, and the older files put back, just as easily.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These files are the excellent work of Soupdragon.

Aloha!
stickman

Green Acres Made by Rummy.

This uses the stock v2.10 Hi Res terrain textures (except the Concrete one) and makes them much greener.
Rummy also uses his DITHER files. These files overlay the terrain textures to influence a different look to them.
I blurred slightly his DITHER2 to fit better, village/fields interface. Sacrificing a better village look at the detriment of a better field look.
DITHERs are shared by many different textures, so I compromised.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?j0hnnyooljk

File is big. 44 MB. Will take some time to down load.

I generated a FarTiles.bin file for these textures. Also big, 28MB.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?omyhxmltjmo

After Installation, I would also suggest that you DeFrag your hard drive. These files are big.

The Readme file:

==================================================================================================

17 October, 2009

This changes the stock v2.10 Hi Res (2048 resolution) BoBII terrain to look a lot greener.
More like it rained some days, during June in England, 1940, no drought.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION:

This mod is assembled for use with the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler.
1. If you already have JSGME installed in BoBII, extract the zip to your Battle of Britain II/ MODS folder.
You may need to make a new empty MODS folder within BoBII.

2. If you do not use JSGME, then you should install it. ;)
If you do not use it:

- Back up the Landmap2 and Landmaps folders, in the case that you don't like these.
- Extract the zip to Desktop.
- Open the Green Acres folder.
- Open Landmap2 folder. Select all files therein and copy them. Paste those files into the Battle of Britain II / Landmap2 folder.
- Open Landscap. folder. Select all files therein and copy them. Paste those files into the Battle of Britain II / Landscap folder.

Install the Fartiles mod like this:
- Back up the Landscap folder, in the case that you don't like these.
- Extract the zip to Desktop.
- Open the Green Acres Fartiles folder.
- Open Landscap folder. Copy Fartiles file. Paste it into the Battle of Britain II / Landscap folder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These files are the excellent work of Rummy.
An American (North Carolina) man, and archeologist, that has been to England, living with his extended family there.

Aloha!
stickman

==============================================================================================

The Green Acres Fartiles are also assembled for use with JSGME.
I would manually back up yours before Installing, just to be safe. It is in the Landscap folder, named FarTiles.bin. It is very large -- 260 MB!

Some pics using LANDSCAPE_TEXTURE_SIZE = 2048 and an 8 month old, off the BEST BUY shelf, computer:

I always hated the stock Concrete look. This one maybe too clean, even though I browned and darkened Rummy's offer a bit. I like this better than what was before.

I think that with a greener England the air craft are easier to see.

NOTE! I have also put back the Old Treeline texture, that some folk hate so much, but that never bothered me. Better sub-prime than nothing!
Also, I am using my own blendmap file.
This is not included with this mod. Will offer at Stickman's Modifications.

You are welcome but Stickman did the hard stuff. I recommend trying different dither factor setting in your bdg txt. 1 , 2 and 4 are valid settings, each producing more or less refined detail at lower levels.

Where can I find Stickman's latest 2D Combat HUD gauge setup?

Hi SeeVee,

I don't know where it is available on the forum many more but if you like to go on to my web site:

http://www.g0dcp.co.uk/ and follow the links on the opening page. It is stickman's 2D gauges plus a small mod of my own which gives a better idea of the distance of enemy aircraft. I.e. 250 yards, 400 metres and 800 metres.

Hope you find it useful.

SeaVee,

Do you use a wide screen monitor? I need to put back both my old version using a n old monitor,
and the one I use with a wide screen.
You will not need the 2D fuel gauges anymore, as ken and I made working 3D fuel gauges for all aircraft.
Only my mod has working LW fuel gauges, tho.

I have just put two versions of stickman's 2D gauges on my website. One is for the original 4X3 format and the other one is for the newer wide format. 16X9

http://www.g0dcp.co.uk/programs/2dgauges_4x3.zip

http://www.g0dcp.co.uk/programs/2dgauges_16x9.zip

stickman. I suspect you should keep a copy of these as well.

Nice one stickman,

I shall try with my modification of your EPI gauge. This has two rings, one at 400 m one at 800 m. Hopefully this will help people to judge distance better. If you do decide to use this you will need to save or rename your existing files. And then unzips the contents into your 2-D gauges folder.

Prem.

Hi.

I downloaded and installed the modified EPI gauge, and it works really well except for one odd thing: In the upper right corner is a green plane and below it in black is
//not

What have I done rong?

Running v 2.10

Sorry KellyB,

Originally my modification was only for the spitfire. I have now done the same modification to all the aircraft except the HE111 and tiger moth. The modifications are now on my site, so if you use the same above addresses, you will be able to download them.

Sorry for your problem. Hopefully now all OK. If not please let us know.

Downloaded the 16 x 9 gauges, and that disposed of the //not for the spit.
Just one more question. What exactly is the green plane for? I can't see that it does anything. Am I missing something?
Also seem to have lost my art.horizon in the hud. Not a real problem; don't use it much in combat!

Thanks all.
