I've had the P47, with Accusim, for a week or two & have been flying it a fair bit. While I'm flying the aircraft often suffers a pronounced wing drop (or wing raise, whichever way you like to say it). In testing I've set all weather to clear (nothing), loaded the aircraft to less that 50% fuel in the main tank only, no ordinance & it still happens, often. I'll be flying along straight & level & it's just like turbulence, down goes a wing. It makes it difficult to trim the aircraft properly. I am keeping the speed to above 150 mph, usually 200 mph+.

I'm using FSX with all service packs (not acceleration), windows xp SP3, old MS Sidewinder stick (not force feed), Saitek rudder pedals, P47 is patched to Sp1.1.
I'm still not sure if it is my computer, FSX or the aircraft. It hasn't happened with other aircraft.
Has anyone had this occurrence or got any advice?

I really like this aircraft & it's systems, it's fun to fly when it behaves.

Hmm, interesting. Around what altitude did this happen? A couple times I have experienced this around FL 100, but I thought it was my add-on weather engine A2A generating thermals. Perhaps it is not.

Alt has been from 5,000' to 10,000'.

I've had the same thoughts about the thermals too but haven't been able to prove anything yet. I've set the visual thermal setting "on" so I could see thermals & have had the wing drop outside any thermal & haven't had it drop when inside a thermal, so that's not behaving as I would have expected.

I've noticed that flight characteristics become erratic and turbulent around 10,000 ft. and then become smooth again above that. I always assumed at that altitude there was some kind of environmental transition within the FSX code. Are you flying with weather updates turned on? Have you tried with clear, static weather as well?

I haven't tried with static weather but as I01 said, he did. I have never experienced this with any other AC. Interesting, multiple users experiencing this...

I'm beginning to think what I am seeing might be the aircraft's reaction to mild turbulence. In the same region some other aircraft exhibit similar but much less pronounced movement too. This is with Clear Sky set so my next test will be to turn off all turbulence effects, when I can remember where the tick box is

I've been doing some more testing & I think I've nailed my problem down to turbulence in FSX. I turned off all turbulence effects from the Display/Weather section & the P47 flew as smooth as silk. I then joined a multiplayer game & turned turbulence on & the aircraft flew extremely well right up to 20,000' & then some! One problem I had was that I forgot to load Oxygen so I blacked out up there  After that I did another flight & got an understanding of gear failure  The P47 is a fun aircraft. Hopefully I now have an understanding of the cause(s) of the wing dipping.
It was fun climbing up to 20,000' with another "Jug".

By the way there's lots of repaints for this bird.

Alright then, sounds correct don't it?

Update:
Over the last few days I have rebuilt much of FSX, restoring it to what it was a few months ago (along with windows) due to a boot problem. After restoring then rebuilding the scenery I loaded the P47 & to my suprise the problem I was having re. excessive turbulence causing massive flight instability, even with clear skies set, was cured. Something in my old FSX was causing a conflict/problem which is now gone. The P47 is a wonderful aircraft to fly, it's fast, realistic as we can get in FSX right now, & looks great.
