Hi Bucic

I like your profile for the Saitek AV8R, but I can't use it because the SST software with my AV8R only allows .dat files, not the .pr0. I read on another forum that .dat is the old format and .pr0 is the new one. Do you know if there is a way I can get around this so that I can use your profile?

I'm new to BOB, and to flight sims in general, and it would help me a lot to have a good joystick setup like that.

Paul

Hi Hatchet [Paul].I had the same problem going across from my X45 to an X52 and unfortunately i ended up having to re do it all.
I did print out my commands so i knew what i had programmed where and could copy it and adapt.
I would be pleased to hear if this is possible to convert from 1 type to another and considering they are made by the same company and most people would be upgrading i would've thought they could've worked something out.
Good luck. :)

Hi hatchet!

If you're going to use my button layout and my pr0 profile then the answer is simple - install the latest drivers and software form Saitek. If else - please specify.

.
Trumper,

A converter for .dat => .pr0 is still not available.

However a converter for .pr0 for the X52 to .pr0 for the X52 Pro is available (http://www.saitekforum.com/showpost.php ... tcount=227).

Should be easy, I think.

Options->controls

check custom

Click throttle

check Reverse

I'm sorry to say that my MSFF2 is finally breaking down. At this time, its stopped detecting when I'm no longer holding the stick, so FF is always on (which made things interesting when I let the stick go after crashing *grin*). I've taken to unplugging it when not in use, but that is surely the start of the inevitable decline.

Therefore, I'm looking at the Logitech G940, and I'm wondering if anyone has used it with BoB2 before.

One particularly interesting feature is the split throttle, and I was wondering if anyone used it to map the prop pitch (or RPM setting) to one axis, and the throttle to the other.

Or, for that matter, if anyone has had any problems with the system in general.

Thank you.

Itkovian

Hi there! It's been a while :) I'm making just a quick drop by to let you know that ED community has pretty extensive discussion on the subject
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=47236

There are other topics on 940. Use search function.

*sigh*

As I feared.

The problem is that I have grown used to Force Feedback, and there are so few FF sticks left out there that one might despair. For now I'm leaving my MSFF2 unplugged when not using it to keep the motors safe, but I have little doubt I will need something new in a year or two (yes, the MSFF2 is very robust *grin*).

Oh well, thank you.

I advise you to read more about G940 on ED forums. In other topics. Why? Because some problems regarding FFB may be specific to ED's DCS Black Shark. Other problems are unfortunately common. Are there many common problems with G940. I don't know.
