Hi all,
I downloaded the C172 paintkit from the forum thread in the 172 forum. As there is no explicit GIMP paintkit, I downloaded the PSD kit, as GIMP can open PSD files. I opened the _t.psd file, to see this: http://prnt.sc/dtwekx and http://prnt.sc/dtwfz7.
There is no shading by default, and the lines/rivets layers are not visible, despite the necessary layers being visible and in the default order.
I have not specified the cause of this issue specifically, however I think it could be something to do with GIMP opening a PSD file.
If anyone at A2A could maybe make a .xcf (GIMP) paintkit, like with the comanche, I would be very grateful!!!
Also if anyone else has any ideas as to what is causing this, then please tell me
Thanks
Max

Re: C172 GIMP Paintkit/problematic layers
From what I remember, with my brief trial of Gimp, it can't handle folders within folders. So if you drag those layers out of their sub-folders it should cure your problem.
Cheers.

Yes. I just tried moving the sub-layers out of the 'Don't Paint' group in Gimp, using the C172 paintkit and it looks like the answer.
