FSX Bump Map question!!

Post by jocko417 »

Hi all,

I notice some FSX aircraft have a bump map in the main texture folder. If I was to change some panel lines on a texture I would also have to change the bump map or I'd get "ghosting" of the original lines due to the bump map, correct?

If I was to make a new bump map to match the new texture, is there a way to get the new texture to use the newer bump map vs the original, or is there only one allowable per aircraft?

Thanks!

Yes, just put the new normal (bump) map in the texture folder of your repaint - the FS will first first check this texture folder, only if it doesn't find the required file there, it will search in the folders "linked" in texture.cfg.
