or you can also save out as a BMP and make the DDS from the BMP rather than flattening the psd and accidentally saving it :shock: :cry:

which is what I do, and I make the alpha separately and combine them with DXTbmp
FS painter. You'll find most of my FS9/FSX/P3D paints here.

Hi Lewis

Baz here. I've just finished my repaint for the P-51. But am needing a bit of help in converting it to a DDS file. I've been doing reapaints for about 15 year and this is the first time I've come to a bit of a snag with the new P-51.

I have adobe photoshop 7 and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9. But I'm told I need nvidia tools to help convert the large BMPs to DDS files.

My attempt came out blurry.

I normaly use DXTBMP program and DDS converter. What do I really need and where can I get it?

Hello Bazza,

make sure mipmaps is turned off in DXTBMP otherwise you will get the blurries
