P51 racing mustang

Post by Lee Milan »

Hello folks,
Would it be possible to make in payware a highly modified p51 racing mustang with a vac-formed canopy and use the stock engine which is currently being used in the A2a p51 Civilian Mustang and put that into the new racing mustang? Can this be done!? FSX really needs this!!! Please let me know as soon as possible! Thanks

Hi

Yes of course it is possible, but I highly doubt A2A would do it.
Kind Regards
Tomas

Why do you think that they wouldn't?

If you can arrange access to the actual flyable aircraft to model, then this might have a shot.

Do you own one of these, or are well connected with people that own and operate these aircraft?

I think he means a real world aircraft that could be used as a reference for a model.

Here's a link to the photo. Please use. This is what the racing mustang looks like.

I don't think they would do a visual model without getting the performance accurate, also.

A2A follows a process involving many hours recording and flying the actual aircraft to gain the proper and precise audio and performance characteristics of the real aircraft.

A2A does not simply tweak visual and airfiles to pull out a new model. Like I said, you'll need to help them find the real deal before they can possibly take this project up.
