I have completely reinstalled everything on my PC..Win 7 Ultimate 64 bits.
The only sim is FSX Steam. When the civilian P-51 is loaded sometimes a few switches, buttons, buttons work. But in less than a minute the mouse can do nothing. It remains in the pointer mode and cannot work anything in the Cockpit.
The controls work but here too is a strange thing: When I move the Propeller (RPM) lever, the "P" control in the sim moves but the RPM stays at max.
Throttle and mixture function normally.
Is this a Steam issue or is there some setting I have missed?
Help appreciated

Strange problems with buttons/switches, and some controls

Hi Neal
Have you installed the latest updater, and is your FSX steam fully up to date.
Cheers Chris

Hello,
I'd be checking your all updated also, with the latest Accu-sim updater and also that your eye point is in the correct place? If you move it into the model itself the issue you are experiencing will occur, its a feature of FSX that the click spots stop working if the view is moved in such a way that the controls cannot be used. A common example of this is people moving there eye point too far back and entering the head rest of the model.
thanks,
Lewis

Thanks Lewis....Even though it seemed correct, my eyepoint was slightly too far back. Moving just the slightest bit forward fixed it.
