I'm fairly new to this P-51 & have sorted out the start up from Cold & Dark & the flight goes fine, but if I land & shut down & try another start (Usually warm) I have no suction on the gauges.

Any clues? (It's probably finger trouble)

Weird, I dunno. My P-51 always seems to suck, but I'll double check on the next flight.

Are failures somehow enabled in FSX? Try an overhaul (note you WILL lose your engine time). I think the vacuum pump can fail, but if that is showing OK in the MH then chances are it is fine. :? Check failures are NOT enabled in FSX, and that under FSX realism settings engine damage is DISABLED.

Does the suction gauge show anything?

Best regards,
Robin.

Workshop Overhaul - FSX No Failures enabled - Realism damage DISABLED - NO SUCTION on re-start.
-------

I have just spent a whole day working on this with Both my Hard Disks on the one machine (Clones) - One with the problem & the other one I now have Suction - Accusim core updates installed - step by step.

This may take me a while yet - You know how it is trouble shooting with GoFlight - Saitek Switch Panel (Spad) & FSUIPC Drivers not to mention FSX.cfg

I am working on 2 FSUIPC.ini files at the moment - got my suspicions about my Starter & primer.

I have noticed an oddity with suction, but not that there is no suction. The checklist says to check for 3.75-4.25 on the gauge.. Mine always shows 4.75 though. Is weird though that you have it working on one machine and not the other..

Doubt it is the FSX.cfg file though, as that just controls your permissions. Only thing I think that may help there is deleting the Accu-Sim permissions out, and re-authorizing them when you restart FSX? Sometimes re-authorizing the DLL's fixes the weird issues I have.

It's the same machine & the disks are identical from a week ago when I cloned them except for the buttons & switches setup with Configurator/FSUIPC & SPAD (Saitek). When I setup Starter & Primer to a Toggle switch on my CH Quadrant, Suction STOPPED & that was on the Disk that was working.

Could be the keys I assigned - I will change them today on the Disk with a problem, but first I will follow your suggestion of deleting the Accu-Sim Permissions.

Key assignments can do strange things, at one stage if I turned on the Battery with my Saitek Switch panel the Gear handle came up & the Gear COLLAPSED!

I am getting very good at STARTING this Fantastic machine.

Here is why I LOVE the Mustang

Australian built CA-22 (Recon P-51D - Camera on the left side). Coffs Harbour Australia.

That's ME in 1949 hanging on to the wing tip (I WANT TO TAKE IT HOME!)

After that Flying was IT for me & I got 33 years of wonderful times in the air from Bi-Planes to Airbuses.

SOLVED!

Don't you love it - TWO problems!

Gear collapsing - I have a Saitek pro flight switch panel & have been using SPAD as a "driver" - the settings (Whatever they were) were causing the gear to retract on the ground if I turned a switch.

I fixed that with the Saitek Driver - Lousy, but at the moment solved the problem.
------------
NO SUCTION - The problem was my GoFlight Switch Panel settings - One of the switches was set to Engine Start & when I disabled it, that FIXED IT!
------------
Now to LINDA - Can that make my Saitek switch panel work? (Rhetorical question off subject)

BTW - THANKS for your suggestions
