After downloading Accu-Feel, I've lost the Progressive Taxi in FSX, and get a shimering on painted lines on concrete while taxing the 51. Also have a lag in throttle response. Is there any solution to this or did I do something wrong downloading. This problem also occurs in Captain Sim A/C also. Thanks in advance for any help.

Untick (de-select) "Preview DirectX 10" in the Display settings in the Options Menu.

Fixed it for me!

Thanks, however I can't find any deselect DirectX 10 button on the display section in the options menu. I have customized most of the items to get maximum impact. Have my screen settings to 1680x1050. How do I get rid of Direct X 10? Have been flying CoolSky and Captain sim aircraft, and started having this problem after downloading the P-51. Love the A/C otherwise.

Hello Jerry,

its impossible for the aircraft to affect any of the systems you have mentioned. I would look at any other changes you made as it will just be a co-incidence that they popped up once you installed the P-51.

Direct X 10 preview mode is a tick box under options, that if turned on will causes the issues you are seeing on many systems.

I found the Direct X preview button and unchecked it and all my problems have been resolved. Thanks much for the input guys. This plane a so great, I'm going to get the Spitfire, and hope it does as well. Being a old retired airline pilot, this plane is great fun to fly, now that I don't get in the real stuff anymore. Much more fun to buzz and not have to worry about the FAA anymore.

Thanks again Jerry T

Great to hear Jerry. You might want ot revisit directx 10 preview mode again at a later date, some users do use it sucessfully and some say with improved framerates however it does require tinkering and tweaking to get over some of the issues you had noticed.

thanks,
Lewis - A2A

There is a shader patch over at avsim that fixes some of the dx10 preview problems.. including the one that you mention. I do not know the filename offhand.. but I'm sure a search will get you what you are looking for.

EDIT : It is called DX10 Shader Fixes V3.0.0
worked for me. Hopefully it will for you.
