GNS RXPV2 installed,or an updated installer?

Post by nicholas »

I am not strong on modifying panel.cfg. Has anyone done this successfully with the V2 430W in the Civilian Mustang?

The installer that comes with RXPV2 does not function, so I have been trying to hand modify the panel.cfg to this great airplane.

Sort of hoping that A2A will add it to the installer they have since V1 of RXP is supported, but realize it maybe awhile.

Thanks!

Hello nicholas,

The first thing to do is to set the P-51 to use the old GNS gauge using the aircraft configurator. The open the panel.cfg with Notepad, use edit/replace to find the text "rxpGNS!GNS", replace it with "rxpGNS2!GNS", then save your changes.

Give this a try and see how well the gauge screen fits within the existing bezel. There are some other entries in the panel.cfg which you can edit to make it fit better if needed. I don't have the P-51 installed at present, but can give a bit more info on this tomorrow if necessary.

Cheers,
Nick
