If you run win10 you should have the programe to open .rar files.

If you dont have any programes, there are many free downloads to do the job

there is, to name a few :

winRAR
WinZIP
7-ZIP

All do the same thing.

Once you have somthing to do it, you can create a new folder on your desktop (right click the screen > file > new. I name mine Extract.

Then right click on the rar file your trying to open, select open with <what ever programe you are useing> and it should open showing all the file contained in the rar file.

Now you can either highlight the file you want by clicking it once, selecting ''extract'' from the menu, then select the file you made on your desktop = "Extract"
:or
Click the file you want and drag it to the file named extract and release mouse button.

now open the file "extract" that should now contain your repaints.

Right click, copy the repaint(s) you want

then go to :

Fsx > simobjects > airplanes > WoP_P51. you'll see other texture files. I.E Texture.xxx

Right click in the white area (not over another file!) and paste. your new texture is now in the right location.
Now just add the entry into the aircraft.cfg file. Should have instructions come with the repaint.

i Hope that helps.

Luke

The RAR compression extension is very common outside the U.S.
In the U.S. most people know the .ZIP extension
Both (to the end user) function the same.
WinRAR is a good program to use for both .ZIP and .RAR files.

inside the out of the US, its all just about the compression. 7-zip as already mentioned is essentially a must have bit of software.

thanks
