For the Civie version-
-Option to remove the center tank and radios and have second seat for a passenger
-Option of the treaded tires or the modern groove tires. Treaded tires wear out quicker
-Option to just overhaul the heads and banks
-Optional gunsight
Anyone else think of anything?

Something very subtle but distinctive about the Mustang is the whistling sound it makes and the air rushes against the gun openings. It would be nice to hear this sound when using a fly by view.

The whistling sound is modeled, but it's based on manifold pressure... if you break the throttle wire into WEP you'll definitely hear it on the fly by view, it sounds amazingcaribpilot wrote:Something very subtle but distinctive about the Mustang is the whistling sound it makes and the air rushes against the gun openings. Option to Hangar the plane like the T-6. It's a challenge starting a cold mustang in the winter

A pre oiler for when your mustang has sat for awhile to get oil up on the top end of the engine!!
Re: Wishlist for updated P-51
I wouldn't mind seeing the radio arrangment cleaned up a little since the addition of the GTN/RXP. Since that acts as your Com1/Nav1, can we please have the radio stack below have Com2/Nav2, then set the secondary needle on HSI between Nav2 and ADF.
If that can't be done, could the com2 on the audio panel be fixed so we can add a popup handheld for com2. This setup works fine in the T-6. A handheld or fixed radio panel with Com2 makes getting ATIS easier while freeing up the primary Com.
Other than that, the above suggestions from everyone are great too, I would love to see them implemented. Maybe the Civil P-51 can get the 'official' P3D treatment eventually.
Cheers

I know Rich Palmer who is the Mustang guru for Jim Beasley put in a GTN 750 for Andrew McKenna's P-51.

I would like to see some different canopy hoods available, such as the slightly more bulbous Dallas hood.

I know it wouldn't happen due to the amount of work involved, but at the top of my Mustang wish list would be a B/C model.
