LINDA module updated to version 2.0

Post by guenseli »

Because of the release of the great civil version I can finally also release the updated LINDA module 2.0 for it:
http://forum.avsim.net/topic/375167-a2a ... ersion-20/

Works for both, the military and the civil version!

Of course all new functions from the civil version, e.g. Autopilot etc are included
Have fun!

Hey Guenseli! I love LINDA... Excellent program!

With the updated module for the civi, I'm having a bit of trouble with the lights...

Landing light:
- I've got the landing light set to toggle (I believe through FSX commands)
- Whenever I toggle landing light with the cockpit light switch on, the cockpit light switch turns off (right panel)

Strobe, Beacon, and Nav lights:
-All are set to toggle, but will only toggle to the "off" position.

It's probably user error on my part. Any tips?

Cheers!

Bud

Many thanks for your warm words.

I will have a look into it!

One wish please:
ask your questions for support or features please in the LINDA forum.
The reason is, I make several modules for several addons and have therefore announcements in different forums.
I can't control and check them all. So, I just fear to miss questions otherwise.
Many thanks!

Hi Bud,

maybe a different basic setup but hopefully with some tips for you. I had also a similar problem long time ago. Switching (toggle or ON/OFF) LDG light generally toggles also NAV and/or cockpit lights to OFF at all aircraft. Took long time and Guenter (thx again) did a lengthy support in a german forum.

My basic setup is i removed all fsx control assignments and use FSUIPC only for all controller axis assignments, LINDA for all button assignments.

Solution for my situation was: FSUIPC update to the newest version.

I just purchased my first a2a last week; the civilian p51. What is the LINDA module? I've always heard there is no stupid question... I hope this is not the first.

The LINDA forum at AVSIM would provide enough info's including a manual, I hope.

But here again in short words:
If you want to assign switches of the P51 to your hardware, then you need LINDA.
(Other ways are also possible of course (FSUIPC), but I tend to say LINDA is the easiest and most comfortable way)

Most switches do not work with the standard FSX functions, if so, sounds do not work or maybe just the switch in the VC is moving but it doesn't happen anything (or vice versa)
(generally spoken for other addons, too)

So, simple example:
you can assign the sunglass of the military P51 to one of your joystick buttons!
