Because of all the paints I did for P-51 Mustangs in all shapes, sizes and models, I have developed a pretty good eye for what a Mustang should look like. There was a model by one developer that I did not like at all, because to my mind, they did not have the shape right.
Now, the new A2A P-51 looks great, but to be honest, there are a few very minor details that left me wondering.
One is the rail of the cockpit, the metal part below the plastic bubble canopy I mean.
Here is a detail shot of my last paint:

notice how the top and bottom of the railing are not parallel?
now look at a pic of a real P-51 I pulled off the internet:

here, in the front of the rail, the top and bottom seem to be parallel to me, while the rear tapers a bit.
Am I mistaken, is it the angle, or is the shape not quite right? To me, it seems as if the rail is a bit too high in the front of the canopy.
Or am I seeing ghosts?
