Not to be a judge of your work. It's looking good as is, but I would back off on the exhaust weathering just a bit. That's just my opinion. Everything else is tops. It will be in my hanger when done. :)

One little nit-picky detail I see (that you may already be aware of): The bottom edge of the black on the nose heads forward from the canopy at a slight down angle (looks like it continues the line along the bottom edge of the canopy) and has a much broader curve in it... Anyhow, looking great so far. :)

+1

I noticed this too, the black should be descending and more curved, not at the angle of a regular glare shield. in the picture you posted in the first post you can see what we mean:

I also think that on the canopy where the black and silver start to merge should have more black than silver close to the front, like here:

Last thing: is the silver on the spinner only visible when it is stopped?

Sorry, I'm not trying to be critical; I just want to help you make this paint the best it can be!

I agree on the exhaust burns. I just have not taken out.

Good catch on the black nose swoosh. Totally didnt pay attention to that. The Canopy i was just seeing how the lines worked on there with the spacing.

Prop needs to be alter to have that chrome tips blur as well as put that part in the prop as it spins.

thanks again guys for the detail checks. Let me know if you see anything more.

Antihero, there is one more thing - In your WIP picture I notice you have the chrome on the back side of the prop. On the actual plane the back side of the prop is all black, and the chrome is just on the forward facing side, at least as of a couple of weeks ago. Regarding the black paint swoosh we mentioned last night, I found a picture that shows it follows the lower line of the opening canopy perfectly before it starts to curve. Here is what I mean...

Image

Here shows the chrome on the front of the prop. Your own picture in the first post shows no chrome on the back. That is still the correct configuration today.

That said, your paint is looking very good! Thanks for taking the time to make it for us!
