Repaint:: QuickSilver (Done)

Arguably the finest fighter aircraft of World War II.

What a beautiful aircraft and wonderfully created for FSX. The only problem for me is, I can't get it to load-up properly. The aircraft is a black silhouette except for the external fuel tanks (and that's only because I tried copying some of the files of other P-51 repaints). I'm trying to install the Quicksilver file into my WWII_FIGHTERS_P-51D. I have one or two other Shockwave productions repaints installed; for example, the repaint of the P-51 Excalibur by Shockwave productions and it looks and flies just fine. I don't understand why Quicksilver won't install correctly.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the input and I get what you're saying. But as the repaint for Excalibur (file: JUL 1715 WOP3 P-51D Excalibur.zip) was created for A2A WOP3 P-51D, and it works in my WWII_FIGHTERS_P-51D download. It doesn't make any sense to me that Excalibur installed correctly but Quicksilver won't.

I think it might be a case of apples and oranges, where the WWII Fighters P-51D is not the same as an A2A Accusim P-51D. So Quicksilver will mostly appear black. The fuel tanks might be a port-over from the older simulation model. Someone will correct me if I’m off base on this! :D

Does anyone know if this paint is still available :?: ? Seems like it disapeared from the underlying link (checked all of the 30 pages), nor can it be found on flightsim.com or avsim.com. Any help appreciated.

Best, Christoph
