Hi there
When I fire up the P51civ after a few days of not flying, the engine temps are what they were when I shut her down from the previous session. Is there a way to make Accusim run its simulation to real time not sim time, so that when I fire her up after a few days, the engine is completely cold?
Thanks in advance!

In the Shift+3 window set it to "AUTO-C&D ON". This is not what you would call 'real time' as it will always be cold and dark when spawning in.

Glider1: Did you get the Accu-Sim expansion pack? It comes separately on the A2A warbirds and the J-3. I think you need the Accu-Sim expansion pack to get the persistent features, such as gradual cooling over time after shut down, etc. Check the Pilot's Manual on the P-51. Look for the Shift+3 panel. You can select cold start in that panel, and she'll be cold when you start the flight.

Thanks Paughco and WB_Flashover
I'll try to autoset cold and dark on otherwise hit it manually when I start the session. That will be close enough I guess. I was hoping that it would keep a track of other maintenance issues over real time that happen if you leave a plane for a long time just sitting in the hanger.
Cheers

The Mustang doesnt have this, the GA P3D line does. The 172, 182, Cherokee 180 and Comanche 250.Glider1 wrote: I was hoping that it would keep a track of other maintenance issues over real time that happen if you leave a plane for a long time just sitting in the hanger.

Thanks Lewis. It would be a nice feature since the P51D would in real life often be sitting in the hanger for a long time not used. I guess the problem is that A2A wouldn't have nearly as much data about the effects of disuse of the P51D relative to GA aircraft where the effects of long periods of idleness on the aircraft are well understood and documented.

Yes to be honest the warbirds these days will work a season and then have there winter strip down and then work the season and winter strip down. That's the normal cycle for a warbird and it really wasn't too different during the war either, just a lot more accelerated, between hours being built up and strip downs being quicker.
thanks,
Lewis
