Accu-Feel Steam Edition will not work

Post by Saxon Jarrad »

Hello, I have recently bought Accu-Feel on the steam store. I installed it and ran FSX:SE. In game I could not find the Accu Feel menu anywhere, there is also no addon menu either. (Well there was, but I uninstalled FUSIP as I thought it had something to do with the problem). So I went through to the DLC file and opened up the accu-feel folder where are ran the install as administrator. It gave me and error (1002) and said it was unable to find fsx.exe. I am bloody confused and have no idea what to do. I am running Windows 10, 64 Bit

Hello,

did you purchase through steam then?

Steam handles ALL installs it sounds like you will want to untick the DLC to uninstall it and then reinstall it via ticking it again, allowing any download to take place. You do not need to run any installer.exe with Steam DLC. You will have to restart yours system.

thanks,
Lewis

Yeah I ticked it and unticked it but this will not show up in addons, I did purchased through steam and clicked verify integrity of files many times. At certain points whilst researching I pasted stuff into the roaming FSX file then into the DLL. Nothing has worked, I also should mention the first time ever I started it up I got an error 1029 Missing tag: SimBase.Document
Textures that I downloaded for FSX have not been showing up and I also should mention again, I had FSUCIP but I uninstalled it as I thought it was a problem.

Alright I went into the DLC file and ran the bat for Accu-feel. When I launched up the game still no add-ons menu or signs of accu-feel anywhere. I did notice the bat did run pretty damn quickly. It opened up and a few seconds later closed.

Hello,

have you checked your dll.xml to check the correct entries are in it?
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>A2A Feel</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>DLC\379546\Modules\A2A_Feel.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>AccuFeelMenu</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>DLC\379546\Modules\AccuFeelMenu.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>A2A Service</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>A2A\Shared\A2A_Service.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
Its also worth checking for general formatting, stray spaces etc.

If you are referring to the dll.xml in the roaming>Microsoft>fsx I had something like that pasted in but I don't think it was exactly those lines, I'll try them. Pasted them in with Notepad++ launched FSX and still nothing, here's a copy of the dll:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Object Placement Tool</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>

<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Visual Effects Tool</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Special Effects SDK\visualfxtool.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>A2A Feel</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>DLC\379546\Modules\A2A_Feel.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>AccuFeelMenu</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>DLC\379546\Modules\AccuFeelMenu.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>A2A Service</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>A2A\Shared\A2A_Service.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>

Something also had stuffed up the textures I downloaded for aircraft as well, so hopefully I won't have to reinstall the whole game

Actually before sending it along you could try the tool (FSX DLL.XML Viewer and Repair Utility) here;
