Having trouble getting Accu-Feel to work in FSX-SE

Post by BigT-65 »

I have done searches and read lots of similar problems and tried some fixes. I am close to success but Accu-Feel is still not working.
This is what my dll file looks like:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>

<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>ObjectFlow.dll</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Scenery\ObjectFlow.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Object Placement Tool</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\object_placement.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Traffic Toolbox</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Visual Effects Tool</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Special Effects SDK\visualfxtool.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>A2A Feel</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>C:\program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\A2A_Feel.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>AccuFeelMenu</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>C:\program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\AccuFeelMenu.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

I found my A2A_Feel.dll and AccuFeelMenu.dll files in this directory C:\program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\ so I changed those paths in the dll file. I did not have a DLC\Modules\ folder. After I did this when I load FSX-SE I get the message to approve AccuFeelMenu but it does not ask about A2A_Feel. When FSX-SE gets finished loading The Add-on Menu is there but the only thing in it is AIcarriers, no Accu-Feel. I think I am close to getting this to work and need a little help to finish it.

Does anyone know why I can't get Accu-Feel to show up on my Add-on dropdown menu. It looks like it's installed correctly. :cry:
I have an A2A folder here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\A2A that has a folder named Feel
that has these files in it
A2AFEE~1.EXE_debuglog
A2AfeelInstaller
A2AfeelInstaller.exe_debuglog
accu_feel
Accu-Feel_Manual
dxwebsetup
sound_log
Sounds.pk
UNWISE
Is this correct to work with the dll file?

I just discovered today that I have an A2AFeel Debug log that has this info in it
A2AserviceInstaller.cpp(00048): , [WinMain ], [Sun Aug 30 15:53:39 2015], dll.xml found and loaded
A2AserviceInstaller.cpp(00059): , [WinMain ], [Sun Aug 30 15:53:39 2015], backup created
A2AserviceInstaller.cpp(00084): , [WinMain ], [Sun Aug 30 15:53:39 2015], Done.
It looks like something older than my current problem

Another one with this info in it (also a few months old)

I changed the Path lines back to <Path>\Modules\A2A_Feel.dll</Path> and <Path>\Modules\AccuFeelMenu.dll</Path>
When I started FSX-SE it asked me about loading those two files so I thought, surely it has loaded everything and Accu-Feel will show up on the Add-on Menu but it didn't.
I don't know what else to try. :(

Hello,

thanks,

I found that Once I uninstalled the DLC in the Steam Play/Game screen and then checked to install it, it downloaded the 10.6mb file and installed all correctly. Sometimes it can be that simple (you would hope!!).
