Hello.
Having some problems with this program. After installing asll my sounds are OK, but after a few flights with no adjustments at all to AccuFeel I seem to loose my engine/cockpit sounds. The only sounds I can hear is wind (or at least that is what I believe it to be).
Last evening when going to spot view there was no sound whatsoever.
I checked all my sounds from control panel to FSX sounds and all seemed to be correct once again.
Then I uninstalled AccuFeel once again and everything was back to normal, how it should and has been before purchasing and installing AccuFeel.
Any suggestions?

THis will be the third time for reinstalling AccuFeel but I think I will hold off reinstalling as I would rather not have the AccuFeel then the sound issues.
I will wait till I can get some suggestions as AccuFeel for now is more headache then benefit.
Thanks

Hello,

thanks,

As I said in the first post, the wind (environment) is pretty much all I can hear and when I uninstall AccuFeel the normal sounds like engine, ATC, etc are back.
But to answer you question, no, the Q key is not pressed or I would have no sound at all.

And to add before this is asked-the default settings for AccuFeel are assigned to each aircraft as they appear with NO changes made by me.

The settings in AccueFeel are as they come by default on the AccuFeel control panel for all the default and payware I have checked. I have made no changes. Only the wind can be heard.

All I can hear is the sound of the wind, no engine,no cockpit, no ATC, etc though may be being drowned out by the wind (environment).

My driver is working correctly because when I uninstall AccuFeel all sounds are as they should be. When I exit FSX all sounds from PC are fine. Utube, music, etc are all fine.

When I reinstall AccuFeel sounds will be fine for a short time, then they are back to just hearing the Environment (wind) sounds only-No break squeal or anything that I can hear over the Environment (wind) sounds.

I've had this happen before, it was due to FSX not having focus if windowed, Accu-Feel sounds will still be heard, but all FSX-centric sounds muted. Perhaps also not running as administrator can have a similar effect.

Also opening several windows within FSX itself with [ can shift focus away from sounds associated with the 'pit.

Try invoking FSX as administrator - right click on the FSX icon, then select run as administrator.

Another possibility it that a virus-checker is blocking something, so whatever virus software you're using needs to be told not to block the entire FSX folder. Usually called 'making an exception'. The process for doing that differs from one virus-checker to the next.

I don't know about all that but I do know that with AccuFeel uninstalled I am having no sound issues.
I have been using FSX for going on 2 years now with plenty of addons and really cannot think of any problems aside from a bad install or something that has not been fixed with a patch.

No, I am certain that it is not my admin right, AV and so on. It is AccuFeel that is causing the muted sounds.

Hopefully the makers of AccuFeel will respond as I would hate to think that I have wasted my money.

I do know that I am not alone but several others are having issues of varying degrees.

Please, makers of AccuFeel, let's get this resolved. Please don't leave it up to the members of this support forum who can only make guesses as to what might be the problem.

$15US does not sound like much to some, but to those of us that work hard for it, it is of significance and I do not think I am being unreasonable in asking for help instead of having to delve into and make changes to any programming to make it work.

Thank you

Hey Mike,

The Q key would mute default sounds. The wind is not a default sound. I would also check your sound configuration in windows as it sounds like its only letting one appolication run sounds through your system which is not a default setting and certainly not correct.

thanks,
Lewis

Sounds are fine in FSX and other programs.

Sounds are fine when I first install AccuFeel (3 times already I have installed, uninstalled, rebooted)

After a couple of flights of default and payware aircraft the sounds all become muted except for wind noise.

I do not know what more I can say.

PLEASE, PLEASE read each sentence carefully.

There is no problem when AccuFeel is FIRST installed.

There is no problem when AccuFeel is uninstalled.

There is no problem with any of my sound settings nor my sound driver.

The problems start after AccuFeel is installed and after a few flights are made.

Hello Mike,

please understand that symtoms you have described thus far point to this being a soundcard/driver error or wrong setting under windows. Can you pleae check your drivers etc are updated in case an old driver is having issue with multiple sound engines running at the same time and overloading after a while.

Can you please post you full system specs also, we have not come across this issue with the software before, and whenever troubleshooting will will always start with the basics and go from there.

thanks,
Lewis

Think the issue is solved. I went with a different sound system not using the Nvidia but rather the HDAD default and the sounds are so much better through the speakers.
Thanks for the help and getting me thinking and trying something new. Learn as you go!
If the AccuFeel keeps on like it has I will have to give it a 5 star.
Myself a 1 star for being such a dweeb.
