Is there a way, or are there plans in the works, to get the Dodosim to take advantage of Accu-Feel? I don't seem to notice any differences in the sound either throughout the flight or when the doors open. Also would love to have the wind noise occur if just the window is open (as well as this feature in ALL planes with opening windows.)

Fantastic product btw - can't fly without it!

Thanks

And what is Dodosim? Sorry, but I have never heared of that aircraft. There are so many different aircrafts and models out there so it is impossible to know them all.

So far have Accusim worked with all my add on's, but may that aircraft have it's own sound files wich Accufeel can not change, that is my gues but I don not realy know.

The current release does not support helos. But A2A has indicated helos are under serious cosideration for subsequent release(s). 8)

Just the creator of the best helicopter for FSX that money can buy. The Bell 206. And if they should ever finish their work on the Huey, they will have created the two best helicopters for FSX. I highly doubt that the Huey will ever be finished, though. They are chipping away on it for many years now and updates are few and far between, which makes me sad. :(

After flying DCS: Ka-50 you won't be flying helo's in FSX anymore ;)

But I did, for the simple reason that Black Shark isn't FSX and that the Ka-50 can't be used in it. ;)

That's like saying "After flying DCS: A-10 you won't be flying planes in FSX anymore", which is equally wrong.

This is assuming the actual flight model of the fsx helo's is any good though. ;)

No assumption there. The Dodosim 206 flight model is not just "good", it's excellent. You shouldn't knock it, if you don't know it.

Have a look:

Just tried it, it's crap. It's still FSX. Constantly my input has a delay. Take off, and mash the cyclic to any direction. Nothing happens for a while. Uninstalling immediately, my thoughts about FSX helo physics are confirmed once more.

Have you actually flown DCS: Ka-50?

Uh, there's always a delay between control input and actual movement in helicopters. That's why you always have to be ahead of the heli, not just reacting to it. The Dodo was specifically programmed to simulate that control delay.

So, you just spent 40€ to just try it and decide it's crap?

There is that and he probably forgot to switch on the hydraulics and/or to set the realism knob to 5.

Yup, plenty. I could start the helicopter from Cold & Dark, fly successful missions, land and shut down, even without a checklist if I had to. I could even fly it with all the computer assistances on the left pedestal switched off. It's been a while, though. And the point still stands: the Ka-50 is no good to me when I can't use it in the FSX regions that I wanna fly in.

I'm not talking about actual movement. I'm talking about the aircraft movement (i.e. not speed or anything).

Consider this: get in the air in a somewhat stable hover. Push the cyclic fully forward in a very quick motion. The 206 very slowly banks forward. If that is accurate, please correct me, but I seriously doubt it.

The hyd: might be. Realism: are you kidding me?
*Update on the hyd: The hyd was indeed off and has improved the flying, but still my thoughts stand.

Well, I have around 3500 hours on the Ka-50 and several flights in several helo's around my area (and flying it, with pilot sitting next to me, giving controls to me occasionally), so that's gotta say something.

No, I'm not. There is a knob on the overhead panel ranging from 1 to 5.

1 = default FSX flight model.
5 = all the flight model features of the product enabled.

Was one of them a 206 Jet Ranger? You can't expect a Jet Ranger to behave like a Ka-50 in the real world either. I've talked to an actual Jet Ranger pilot who also has the Dodosim 206 and he attested that the flight behavior is spot on.
