Post by Struggler81 »

Having uninstalled my P-20 Warhawk how do I set about reinstalling once more?
Thanks.

Hi,

Install in the following order:

1) A2A WoP: P-40
2) P-40 Accu-Sim package (if you have it)
3) latest update

Hi,

If you don't have the installation files, you can download again your aircraft from A2A store or the vendor you bought it from.

Just to add to Will's comments, even if you do you will still need to install the same way - the updater is always necessary.

The brouhaha surrounding P3D v4 and the C172 has included the guidance to NOT use the updater, but that applies only in that special circumstance.

I've managed to d/load my Warhawk from the seller but my installation process failed to have the aircraft show up in the 'stable'.

I followed the path.....

/Steam/steamapps/Common/FSX/SimOjects/Airplanes.

I installed the P-40 first of all, then the accusim and finally the update.

Where did I err, folks.

Point at the SIM, not the folder
/Steam/steamapps/Common/FSX/

But the real question is why you have to do this when the installer picks the location from the FSX entry in your computers registry...

Yes Mallcott is correct. So long as your system registry is in order it should pick everything up automatically so no change is needed for FSX users.

thanks,

Success with a caveat.

OK...all four P-40 aircraft are now displayed amongst those available, however most are reluctant to get underway.
Only the P-40 C operates perfectly.
The P-40 B has its engine run up but the moment it starts to move forward the engine dies.
Both the AVG and the Tomahawk 11 B allow the engine to start but then it dies very quickly.
I've done a maintenance check to ensure all is well with those discontented ones.

So what's the next step, please?

And I had included the update. All installed to FSX.

Around 60-65 for the brief time that the engine DOES run.

I have just done another uninstall and reinstall using the downloads I first had from the A2A site.
This time it's only the P-40 B that runs successfully.

I have posted this reply - twice - recently. Hope it gets through this time.

The guys are asking about your idle RPM, not your airspeed.

Cheers,
