No issues during taxi, takeoff, and flight. Upon landing, FSX crashes at the moment of touchdown, and it happens every time. Apparently others have experienced the same problem as described in a recent thread. In that thread, Lewis asked for a new thread to be started, so this is it!
Relevant Notes:
1. This is the Accu-Sim P-40.
2. In the previous thread, it was suggested that a .cab file be deleted, but I found no .cab file to delete. Where is it located?
3. I deleted the P-40 "Update" folder as suggested in the other thread and updated using the most recent (1/17/2017) Accu-Sim updater. This did not fix the problem.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
I have the same issue with my P-40 with Accusim. I'm running FSX Acceleration on Windows 7 64bit.
I have run the latest Accusim update. Not everytime but very often the sim crashes to desktop once the wheels touch the runway. I don't have this issue with any of the other aircraft.
Thanks

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
I had the same problem before the last 2017 update, now the issue seems solved (fingers crossed). Anyway, I only did two landings, so I don't know if the problem is totally sorted.
Some food for thoughts:
I did one of my smoothest landings and after shutdown I've seen a yellow gear warning in the hangar. The mechanic told me to be easy on landings?
Sure, something on touchdown code seems screwed.
Hope this helps the developers.

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
The theory with the gear contact could make sense since my sim crashed yesterday while taxiing over a bump! I'll give it a try on a grass runway.
Maybe you guys could also try that?

Hello peoples,
Can I please ask if you guys have the P-40 and its Acuu-sim package or just the P-40?
Also worth noting what other Accu-sim aircraft you have installed on your system?
thanks

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
P-40 + Accusim for me too.
My other A2A aircraft are:
Stratocruiser + COTS
Piper Cub + Accusim
B17 + Accusim
Spitfire + Accusim
P51civ + Accusim
C172
C182
Cherokee
Comanche
T-6
Constellation
The P-40 is the only one causing the issue.
Hope you guys find the culprit.

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
One thing I forgot, can you please test with all the P-40 models and let me know if theirs any difference between them for you.
Also if you encounter the crash can you let me know what the system crash log states from the event viewer?
And lastly can I ask if you guys can try to revert to as a default system as possible, turning off and unloading all other mods to get it to be as pure as just P-40 and FSX as possible.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
For me it definitely happens with the C model of the P-40. The others I'll have to check.
Where can I find the system crash log?
Thanks

So just that I understand this correctly. You want us to install all other addons? Scenery including? That would be a lot better if work.Lewis - A2A wrote: And lastly can I ask if you guys can try to revert to as a default system as possible, turning off and unloading all other mods to get it to be as pure as just P-40 and FSX as possible.

No need to uninstall but you can disable FSUIPC and most add-ons from work with a simple switch or .dll temp move.
For the event viewer please see here;

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
Ok I see. Thanks for the clarification! I'm not using FSUIPC. I'm only running AS16 and some FTX Global as well as OpenLCEurope and NA along with some other scenery addons.
Yesterday I did some test flights with all the P-40 variants and the sim did not CTD. So I'll download an event viewer and hopefully get something the next time the sim crashes.
Thanks and happy flying

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
Hi guys. Did some tests yesterday trying to trigger the CTD but everything went well.
Tried to run the "B" (I've had CTDs with this version before) on bumpy surfaces jumping all around (rapid takeoffs and landings) with no problems.
Also did a full flight of about one hour with the "C" and landed without issues.

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
Thanks for coming to the rescue FlameOut. I tried everything today and I can't reproduce the issue?! Seems to have fixed itself for now

Re: Landing the P-40 Causes FSX to Crash
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Accu-Sim P-40, then ran the latest updater again. Since doing that I've flown the C model a couple of times without issue, so that seems to have fixed the problem.
