Installation process

Having completed this Warhawk installation, followed by the AccuSim unit that I bought with it, nothing is showing up in my DCS: FSX 'Free Flight' choices.
Where has it "flown off to"?
Is there an earlier plan laidd out that I might check through the steps that I took?
My route to install these two was:
C\Program Files (x86)\Steam|steamapps\Common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes.
Help, please folks.

Hi.
I dont have FSX steam , but i never let my FSX+acceleration install in its default path , and installed it on a totally different drive , programes 86 tends to be a protected path , and has caused problems for a lot of people in the past .
Now as for the aircraft not showing on the free flight page , i assume you have the show all variations ticked , so if thats the case you should have six variants of this aircraft , and should be at or near the top of the list of aircraft , the titles show as A2A Curtiss P-40 followed by the different variants , on my installation it comes after my A2A Cessna C 172.
If you still cannot see them , look in your FSX steam folders/sim objects/airplanes/ and look to see if this folder is installed WoP3_P40 , if not try installing again.

Hello,

the issue is that you seem to have moved the default directory the installer should have picked up for you.

C\Program Files (x86)\Steam|steamapps\Common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes

Should just be;

C\Program Files (x86)\Steam|steamapps\Common\FSX\

This will be picked up automatically when you run the installer, there is not normally any reason to change what is auto detected from your system registry.

thanks,
Lewis

Problem solved. I should have stopped at the "FSX\" stage and not gone further.
All is now running beautifully.
Many thanks for your suggestions.

PS Is there a keyboard layout available for my Warhawk/Tomahawk or does one create one via the the Input Configuration unit?

Hello,

Also make sure you run the latest Accu-sim updater to get you all updated.

For the key commands you will be using a lot of the FSX defaults and you can use the input config to add in some of the special commands and of course theres the mouse for all the switches and what not too.

thanks,
Lewis
