P40 causes CTD

This happens at the very point of touchdown! Guaranteed! To date I have reinstalled the latest Accusim updates...Several times. I thought I found the culprit in the A2A P40 configuration tool :D Wrong! :(

Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14

I've gone through the FAQs and I comply. Lastly I've carried out a Dr A2A thingy. Maybe that'll turn up something.

Mmm, three tries at attaching the .dat file (.dat extention not allowed) Now 'Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.'

I'll try email.

EDIT: If I could find an email address.

Another EDIT: Texan, Spitfire and Mustang all behave impeccably.

Hi Ron
It looks like a faulty A2A_accusim.dll in gauges directory.Delete the latest *.dat file in the P40 and try again with the updater.
Cheers Chris

Hey Ron,

as speedy says delete the .dat file for your P-40 and also the update folder for the P-40, re-run to update and restart your system then try again.

thanks,
Lewis

Which one? There are about 16 .dats of one sort or another.
Is deleting the .dat file the new 'delete the config and let FSX build a new one'? Why does this happen in the first place? What can we do to prevent it?

Hi Ron.
Just the *.dat file not the *.dat bak files or the *.bak f file and yes it will build a new one.
Make sure you run the updater as administrator.
Well I am off to get another beer before I turn in.
Cheers Chris

I've uninstalled it and re-installed it. Nice new fresh aeroplane. We'll see if it makes a difference.

I had a similar issue with the P-40 and the Spit: On a certain flightplan the sim (FSX Boxed) always hung after about 20 minutes of flying. Not loading the flightplan resulted in a flight from beginning to end, strange but reproduceable.

FSX crashes for me too with the P-40 right after I touchdown on landing. Would like to try deleting the .dat file and UPDATE folder, but I don't want to delete the wrong thing. Could someone break down in a little more detail what/where to delete for the P-40 please? Thanks!

Hello,

it'd be best to start a new thread and explain the issue you are having in as much detail as possible.

thanks,
Lewis

Hi! Had the same problem yesterday and I have not applied the new Accusim update yet. Will the new update "fix" the a2a_accusim.dll so there will be no need to delete the dat files?
Thanks in advance
