Missing cockpit sounds.

Post by Psycho75 »

Took the p-40 for a spin today after installing 4_7_16 update. Noticed that I am missing several of the cockpit sounds.Manual fuel pump, fuel selector, hydraulic pump sound, trim wheels, radio buttons and others. This never happend in any of my accusim aircrafts. Tried to reinstall plane, but no success.

I have the same. Many of the sounds are not there now.

I too have the same problem after installing the 4-7-16 update!

The Spitfire and the P-51 (Military & Civil), don't seem to be affected.

Cheers

Paul

Tried some of my other accusim planes, they seemed to be workng fine. Noticed sometimes I hear repetitive click sounds on switches in the T6 though.

Hi All,

I just flew my first flight after reading this, and second since this patch.
First time around, I had noticed some things seemed quieter, but had chalked it up to adjusted.
However, I went in tonight, without starting the engine, and just trying various switches and such, to see if things are missing, and indeed, many sounds are missing with this update.

The hydraulic hand pump had sound for me, but the wobble did not.
Some of the electric switches had no sound, especially the radios and the lower rotary switches on the electric panel.
The primer pump has its basic motion sound, but I think the fuel movement sound is gone.
The carb heat handle had no sound.

I will add though, during my flight I did notice other sounds that improved, especially the tire touch down which sounded wonderful.

Anyway, I just wanted to check what was reported on my system, and indeed, some sounds have gone AWOL.

Regards,
Dave

Hey Guys,

once Scott is returned from Sun'n'Fun he'll be on the case with this particular issue.

Is anyone else experiencing FSX Steam Edition crashing while using the P-40? I had it occur back-to-back with the P40C at Edwards AFB. First flight, crashed on warmup. Reloaded, took off, came around, and the sim crashed again on approach for landing. I will test more tonight...

I deleted the Update folders for all Accusim aircraft and reinstalled the 4/7 update. Hopefully that solves the problem...

Now all my P-40 sounds are gone, dials/switches want to stay in off position, sim freezes and crashes. Dialogue boxes pop up warning about nil values. :(

EDIT: The errors seem to occur when I load my saved (ie, pre T6 Texan release) P-40 flight, on the runway at Edwards AFB. I reloaded at a different location and all was fine again. More testing tomorrow. :)

Have some sounds been tuned down? Especially the fuel selector sound is not present or very very quiet.
