Exterior model/vc mostly missing. 2D panel completely missin

Only the pilot, canopy glass and very few assorted pieces of the exterior show up. On the VC, all gauges and switches appear, but the walls of the cockpit are missing completely. The 2D panel is also completely missing.

Hello,

this is a common error and points to your FSX not bein gupdated to Service Pack 2 or Accelaration standard.

I have this problem occasionally with Acceleration. But I only have it when I have hideous amounts of autogen objects, like taking off from Hornchurch with the downtown of London in sight. Now that's pretty bad for FPS as I have a low-end GPU. I'm probably running out of GPU memory or FSX cannot utilize all system memory (8GB available) due to being an old game. Anyway, I've taken it as something I just have to deal with. Reducing amount of autogen might help but I prefer to have much autogen while flying over the countryside.

Thanks for the advice. I seemed to have jumped in too fast and after reading other forum post I have figured out how to solve this problem. Though when I load the model my game freezes completely, just as the person who posted their problem just after I did. I don't know how to uninstall version 1.5.
