Additional to the drag thing, I found a small difference after the core update 1.3.1. The cockpit vibrations induced by the engine RPM seem much less than before. Did you change this to pronounce it more when the engine gets older?

Edit: Accu-Feel is disabled.

Best Regards,
E.

Erik,

We did tune those down, as we were getting too much vibration in cruise settings. These have to be indicative of how the engine is 'feeling' so to speak. We do have some ideas for taking these to the next step, however, so I've added this to our wish list.

Scott.

Thanks Scott, for the clarification. I found the higher vibrations more immersive, but I think accuracy is more important :D

Like Erlk0enig, I find some vibration on cruise revs (and higher revs too) to be more immersive. The vibration was multitudes more than what I wanted, though, so just toning it down to "half" or "third" of original might have been enough. Then again: since it's not a canned effect there's nothing as simple as "half" or "third".

You could also implement some vibrations from air turbulence and such. It feels awfully synthetic is it's 100% vibrationless. Even the faintest trace of vibration could break the all too synthetic feel. Even though the vibrations were too heavy and came pretty much on/off, it did give me an indication of whether I was applying power or engine-breaking on descent. Now I can't tell even that much: I have no sense on MP that is below gauge range, only rpm. Even when at idle rpm, wiggling the throttle lever slightly don't produce any indication of lever movement.

I hope you find a middle-ground somewhere between levels of vibration in 1.2 and 1.31. (You just can't scale it down by a constant since full amount of vibration is required for starter engage, engine caching, etc. It's a challenge that take time to perfect.)
