I want the Comanche. But meanwhile...

Post by Paughco »

What aircraft can possibly be cooler than my P-40B? I mean, it has 1,040 horsepower! It cruises routinely at 200+ mph! It has a pretty serious range if you can deal with filling up the fuselage tank. Today I took off from Arlington Field (KAWO) and did a touch and go on the grass runway at Harvey Field (S43). NO HEIDI!! Hah! She's back there with June Allyson, waiting back at home base.

Don't worry Heidi - it's alright.

Here we are on our unannounced approach to RWY 29 at KAWO. Rudder trim set. Here we go.

The p40 is great for quick vfr hops that would take longer in a c172 or Cherokee.

You just inspired me to pull the P-40 out of the hangar. Thanks :D

Whenever I get some serious sim time, I always end up spooling up the P-40. It's definitely my favorite of the A2A birds!

Great shots :) Even after all these fantastic Accusim releases, the P-40 is still my favorite one, something about it's 'attitude'. Guess its like riding a Harley or something, its loud, not particularly practical, but a thrill to ride. :D

I love the p40. Originally I only purchased it due to multiplayer substitutions, I was sick of seeing a Learjet off my wing. However I can say it is a marvelous aircraft. And when two or three form up it is amazing. Especially escorting a bunch of b17s.
