A Big thanks to our beta team.

This latest Accu-Sim bird is the most complex yet, however, we may actually be seeing the lowest percentage of technical issues yet. This is no mistake, and due to this project being chewed on by our beta team for a long period of time.

While development is a forever and on-going in many respects, it is always our goal to release a finished product on day one.

The development team and beta testers work very closely for the entire beta process. Our beta testers are more like aircraft historians and specialists. As developers, we work hard to not waste their time, and they in turn work hard to not waste your time. It’s a system that continues to work and improve, and we are grateful for those individuals on our team and, what we believe, is the most knowledgeable community in flight simulation.

We’re honored to be serving you, our customer.

- From all of us at A2A Simulations.

They no doubt do an outstanding job, and don't let anybody go (or let me in  )! I love the P-40, and I can't wait for the Mustang and the jets, its always a rush on that first takeoff!

Just gotta add my thanks for a job well done. Destroyed the aircraft on first take-off...but I got it started!! :D
Second take-off I watched my power and temps. All was well and cruised the deserts and mountains of Nevada for 2 hours. I stand all amazed!! Landing was with one small bump and condition was excellent.
Congratulations on releasing a PERFECT aircraft. -Jim

My thanks to the whole A2A team as well. This aircraft is a dream to fly....a rugged fast warbird with bush flying undertones :) Absolutely perfect for scenery exploration in total immersion and style. You guys deserve a little vacation, take some time off, enjoy some drinks, then come back recharged to bring on the Pony Plane. 8)

The beta team is the best in the business....Most of the planes in FSX are just copies of aircraft...The beta teams planes are much, much more then that. They are works of art. You guys add character the the planes, and with the right equipment on our part, adds so much realism to these birds....
We see many of these planes in museums where they never see the skys again. But now we can take to the skies in our favorite warbirds and private planes thanks to all of you....
Many of us here have no pilots licenses and could only dream of owning one of these great old birds. But you give all of us, all of this and so much more.
Keep up the great work......And also take time to sit back and enjoy these great birds you create for all of us.....All the PATS ON THE BACK, are well deserved....And i for one know that the price we pay for these birds is not payment enough for the outstanding work all of you do......
And TJ and the rest of the painters out here....We all owe you alot for the time you take to create the painjobs for us, all of you deserve more credit then you get for the work you turn out.....Thx to all who make it possible for us to enjoy our favorite planes, and with our favorite paints on them.
Craig.

Sorry that my thank you is coming a bit late. But thank you all persons who do a fantastic work with all products from A2A.

I will also add some thoughts around 'beta-testing'. Many other companies seems to send out one version when the 'software' is ready, then their beta-tester came with their comments and the company fix it and then release the software(game, add-on or what ever). Then they let the paying customers post their comments about what is not working with newly released software. And the creator make a patch or on update. This is something I realy dislike, cause it is not ment that the customer should be the second beta-tester group. Of cource their can be some small things slipping threw, and everything can always be made better, I understand it if it is freeware products not something I have payed for. Scott said in an interview that with one of their plane there had been about 200 beta versions of one of the aircrafts before it was released. That means that the beta-testers have tested the same aircraft 200 times to find things to fix. This takes time and should also do so, and often so will the product become better and better the longer the beta testing time will be, but of cource at one stage the product have to be released. So thank you A2A for taking this so seriouse, and cause A2A is taking this so seriouse I think the beta testers are worth a big applaud for their work. I guess A2A's beta testers are them of all beta testers who work hardest. Just my thought to show how greatful I am for the great work of all you folks.

Edit: I will also add a little thank you to all the forum members for making this forum as nice as it is. I am glad that there is very little of fighting(which sadly happens to often on public forums). People are helpful and show great attitude to each other. I am realy fed up with forums where some persons have realy short to name others idiot and stuff like that, some seems internet as a great place to get out of their aggresion cause no one can see them. It is easy to name a person idiot if you never going to meet that person. I hope the forum will remain friendly and helpful also in the future.

It is exactly what you say it is - making customers beta testers. However, some customers tend to see this as "wow, they give great support" even when an announcement for a Service Pack is made 24 hours after release. But I do think the silent majority think like you.

We are lucky to have many long-time beta testers. It's very much a family atmosphere and very efficient.

Scott.

I think I can speak for all the beta testers in saying that we appreciate the thanks of the community. Beta testing A2A aircraft is not an easy job, nor a quick one but it is immensley satisfying and challenging.

I know I have said it before but the bredth of experience in different areas (and often for real on the specific aircraft or ones VERY similar) amongst the testing team is amazing, as is the range of different skills and interests. Personally, I couldn't spot a spellung mustike to save my life...but some guys can pick them out on gauges that my old eyes can hardly see!! Some pick every small graphical problem or colour mismatch. Others are anal-retentive enough to climb a Spitfire through three or four full 30 minute test climbs on every single beta release, keeping full records of boost, rate, speed, rpm etc etc every 500 feet. Then do speed and dive tests as well (although I couldn't possibly comment on who that may be  ) Yet others specialise in blowing up engines...some of those even do it deliberately!! Some guys test every single aircraft from the first beta to the last, pulling it apart down to (quite literally) a nuts and bolts level.

Even Amanda/Felicity/Bruenhilde (or whatever she is calling herslef today) finds something once in a while!! :P :P :P

I also know how hard everyone takes it when something does slip through. However I have been involved in projects 1/10 the complication that have 10 times the problems on release..and this is directly because of the factors that Wiqvist mentioned above.

Anyhow, cheers guys!

Darryl

I may not have so much knowledge about FSX or aircraft's as you guy's have, but I have critical eyes and a critical brain. And I have a lot of time(that's an area where I can name me self rich, I am rich on time, hihi). So if there is any need of one more Beta tester, I will gladly join you. I for sure understand that it is not an easy job, but it would be a great way to give something back, cause this give me so much. So please just let me know if I can be to any help.

One game I bought, they released an update one day before they released the main game(by a misstake), I do not know if I should laugh or cry, cause this releasing of half finished products are not funny. I think some companies also use this as a way to keep the interest up for their product, if they are telling that it will come an update/patch. Ship Simultor Extreme from Vstep, they are one and half year after the release working on patches to fix the errors in the game. And they hold up that they are working hard on a new patch. So I think they use it as a way to keep up the intersest to their game. And that is just one example of a game and a company, there are many other examples. There is of cource also some good one's, like A2A, and they make the others look like some who can not do their work.
