I love the new experience with the P-40! The only thing I wonder about is if it is really this quiet in the cabin? There is a V-12 with 28l displacement crying in front of me, so I was really surprised by the soft sound interior. Please correct me if I am wrong with my remark or it is just a technical mistake with my FS (but the other planes are as loud as usual).

It's certainly quieter in the cockpit than standing outside the aircraft. At idle and low power, it's actually quite tame in that pit. You can hear the whining of the gears much more in the Allison, whereas the Merlin it's just a lot of combustion.

For both the Accu-SIm Merlin and the P-40, if you have a good sound system, you are hearing the true engine.

Didn't want to criticize at all! The sounds are superb, was just wondering because it is so much more quiet than in a spit, I thought about a failure in my fs. Being reassured now, thank you Scott!

I was also suprised by the low sound volume in the P-40.
Basically, I have to set my sound volume more or less 20% higher to get the same amount of engine sound than the Spit or the P-47.
I checked the Accusim popup panel to see if the volume there was correct, and it was 100% already.

All y'all gotta do is crank up those speakers! The sound on this thing is INSANE!
