engine running problem

Post by cessna lover »

i am trying to fly this thing but the flight engineer keeps saying oil pressure is coming up over and over and the oil pressure gauges keep spiking and the thing won't run. I don't know if it is my controllers or if it's an aircraft problem?

First make sure that "auto mixture" is not ticked. Try the auto start feature in th shift 3 menu. If it starts you are simply doing it wrong your self.
Kind Regards

how do you use reverse thrust on this thing? or does it even have reverse thrust? cause right now I am on my way to KOSH with it. lol and the extra breaking would be nice.

I don't think that it works on the 377 as they were working on a fix last I heard. I know as of last update mine does still not work.

Keep smiling

You'll be able to get the props to reverse but you may not be able to get them back out. Make sure your hardware throttle is completely closed, press and hold F2. The throttles will go past the gate and the longer you hold F2 it will increase reverse thrust. The issue is that you may not be able to get it back past the gate to move forward again after doing so. I've let several full loads of confused passengers out at the end of a runway!

Happy to help.
Always a good idea to check the manual as it clearly says that auto mixture must be off for Accu-Sim to work. There is reverse thrust, but as stated you may have some problems on disengaging it. Scott made a fix for it and it was successful with those who tested it, myself included. A2A mentioned a while ago that they dropped the ball on this one.

Hopefully they'll pick it up soon!
Kind Regards
Tomas

After putting the engines into reverse with the F2 key (hardware throttles idle) you can return to normal forward propeller range by pressing F1 once.

Or use F3 to ease them back into normal range.
F1 seems to be a bit harsh for me. I like to look after my engines.

Good point, that's what I usually do as well. It's been a bit since I've flown the strat :-)
