FSX Steam Edition MP session - A2A Fly in?

Post by Lewis - A2A »

Hello people,

I am able to host an A2A Fly-in should people be up for it. Due to the nature of how multi player works in FSX unfortunately it will be an FSX Steam edition fly in only. So is anyone interested, where would you like the fly in to be (bearing in mind that not everyone will have payware scenery etc), when would you like for it to be also with regards timezones?

Let us know if your up for some fun with a virtual fly in.

thanks,
Lewis

Is that freeware scenery? Best to be free or default so anyone can join. I was thinking maybe one of the free FTX demo areas for this??

Cheers,
Lewis

i am using ftx pnw pay wear scenery now. im looking online and there is a free time unlimited demo of pnw ftx that includes the full KHQM airport. thats right on the coast of the pacific ocean. could be a solid location for a fly in :) then idk if you're planning on any hops from there but it would probably have to be default scenery, depending on what else that demo gives

An A2A flyin sounds like a good plan! :D

The PNW area is a great area to fly, to start from KHQM Bowerman.
I live in UTC+2 and evenings starting at 18:00UTC would be perfect.
Check my overviews of C172, Cherokee 180, C182 Skylane, Comanche 250 and Texan repaints.

For ease of use maybe we can use the FREE Tasmania Demo as its not time limited?

All sounds good to me, just let me know what time. Pnw demo that includes KHQM is also time unlimited if you misread my message

New York time here (EST), work evenings, so anywhere between 2am to 12pm, would love to. New to FSX, and don't know anything about scenery.

Any more news about a fly in? I don't know if am able to make it (work, GMT+1 timezone etc etc...) but it sounds like a fun idea. Maybe someone can record it and put it on Youtube?

I still plan to have something run but the interest is low and those interested unfortunately all seem to live in different time zones :? so it might not be until after Oshkosh now.

So, Fly-In means a bunch of people flying around a predetermined airport or area and join on a Teamspeak server or something similar?!
Or can someone explain it to me? :)

The idea was to pick an airport and we all either start or fly into said airport from the local area. FSX supports com communications so we could all talk via a pre designated com channel which we would just have to set our radios too in the sim.
