Thats a shame Chad... You only need to make one of the flyins and it could take less than 15 minutes per player. The prtactice event and then the competition on the 13th..

Send me a PM would ya?

The only day that I could make is the second fly-in. But I'm busy pretty much every weekend. But I'll keep an eye out for the next one.

I tried to PM you, but it won't let me.

Unfortunately, we have to do the main events durring the weekends.. If we did it on the weekdays, I think it would be harder for most people to make it.

You can depart from any airport to arrive Bowerman on time. I know there are two airports right next to Bowerman just 5 minutes to the west. So if you want to simulate the transit from Spokane, just depart Spokane when u have more time and land just short of Bowerman, to make the flyin event as short as possible.

Don't forget folks to practice. The event scenery is now available at the website. Download it and work on your takeoffs and landings. You all might want to connect to the TS server as well and get comfortable online.

Seeya soon.

Control frequencies are along side their respective channels in the FASA teamspeak Correct?

Correct. But the frequencies are only to make the calls from ATC sound realistic, you will still be making frequency changes via teamspeak.

All contestants should log into the FASA Unicom channel before attempting to connect to the flight server. There a FASA staff member will welcome you, make sure you have the sponsor scenery installed and make sure you are ready to go. Then they will give you the password and ip for the flight server and last but not least advise you to contact Bowerman tower before entering Bowermans class D airspace. Once you make the frequency change to Bowerman Tower you will state your aircraft type, position and intentions to land. Tower will then hand out instructions to enter the pattern for clearance to land. Once landed, you will be taxied to the ramp for shutdown at which time you will be given a frequency change to register for the event.

Hope to seeya all real soon. For those of you interested in flying in early, I will probably be on frequency 2 hours early.

A typical radio call to tower from outside the airspace may sound like this...

Brevity format- Who your calling, who you are, Where you are and intentions with additional info.

"Bowerman Tower, Piper N3451Q is a PA-18-180, 8 miles to the north, 2500 descending, landing with Charlie"

"Piper 51Q, Bowerman Tower, cross midfield 2000 feet, enter left downwind runway 24 and report abeam the numbers"

"Midfield 2000, will report left downwind 24, 51Q"

Don't worry if your calls are not perfect, just as long as we know whatcha want to do.

The hardest thing to learn is radio comms, the flying is easy.
