Hi all, here are some pictures from Ron's 7 o'clock ;)

The map and flight plan for this flight:

Image

Note the "Suggested refueling point for fighters" box in green. Now if you hear about a Spit landing with 1/8 of Gal left later in this thread then you'll know this was not the fault of tacops! :D

And as we were leaving the session we were fortunate enough to witness a velocipedus stupidus australis more commonly named "bush runner", the Australian cousin of the famous American "road runner"!

Why is it when the spitfire is pictured in these screen shots that the prop never seems to be moving?

Is that a function of the player's video card? Or is it something to do with the spit itself?

Just curious.

Hi Snuffy,
this a minor bug with the Spit, A2A is aware of that. It seems to happen only when it is seen from another type of aircraft.

Waitin' for the slow Fortresses to taxi up ;)

Waiting up high at cruising altitude for the Fortresses: Yep, the Spit really climbs like a home-sick angel. Would need to, seen the OAT

After the practice bombing run, we climbed to cruise again. Once at altitude, I made a butt clenching discovery...

Using very carefull flying, I managed to land at the destination, with... well.. let's say... fumes left :P

After a quick refuel, started harrasing the others

You guys would probably be interested in the http://www.91stbombardmentgroup.com/ and online bomber/fighter group that flys the A2A B-17, P-47, P-51, Spitfire and Bf-109 on missions and in formation flights.
We have four individual groups the 91st and USAAF Bombardment Group with 4 squadrons, the 339th a USAAF Fighter Group with 3 squadrons, No. 11 Group an RAF Fighter Group with 3 squadron and III.Gruppe/JG 26 a Luftwaffe Fighter Group with three squadrons.
We also have multiple WWII scenerys for these groups as well as visual flak and gun effects and a non fuctional chain home radar system along the coast of England.

well im not sure whos right but okay lol thats understandable though, not trying to step on anyones toes. Im fairly sure our group is a little bigger than yours with custom scenery and repaints as well as detailed historical aspects and missions and a soon to be 24 hour server.
Im sure the 91st would be willing to do a joint flight with your group if you guys were ever intersted in some co-operation.

Hi dj0311,

Here we practice a kind of "touristic formation flying" :). We are taking our Forts for a 3 hours trip from city A to city B every week, the general idea being to complete a world tour at some point in the (very) distant future. On the other hand we try to do this by the book with flying procedures and detailed flight plan.
Thank you for your post, it's good that everyone visiting these forums can know about all the different multiplayer groups flying A2A models and can choose what suits them best. Of course as Ron was saying we're always welcoming new volunteers (fsx.elington@orange.fr).

Happy flying,
David
