when I click ADD in the FSX

Re: Spitfire Installation Problem
Hi and welcome to the community.
what simulator are you installing the Spitfire into? It's a simulation addon made for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. So you'll have to start FSX and then choose the Spitfire as your plane. It's not a standalone product.

Re: Spitfire Installation Problem
So it doesn't appear in the aircraft selection menu? Did you check under "A2A Supermarine Spitfire"?

"A2A Supermarine Spitfire isn't listed in FSX under Missions
My Aircraft Download zip is wop3_spitfire.zip
Also downloaded wop3_spitfire_accusim.zip
Installed both.
I can see it load from both programs above.
But that is as far as I get

Re: Spitfire Installation Problem
Wayne,
Ok, there are no "missions" for the Spitfire, you should find it under WOP 3 A2a Spitfire in the Select Aircraft section.
If not, check under the Simulator Objects directory, is WOP 3 Spitfire is there?

Yep no mission.
When the simulator is running go to the aircraft selection menu. You should see something like this
Then look for A2A as manufacturer and there should be the Spitfire.

The menu where you select which aircraft you want to fly.
In the FSX main menu it's on the top left. It says "current aircraft" and it has a button called "change".
Click that

Re: Spitfire Installation Problem
Ok. Are you sure you installed it into the correct folder. Go to your FSX root folder on your harddrive. Usually something like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X
Then go to Simobjects/Aircraft/ and look for the WOP3 Spitfire. If this folder isn't there the spitfire is not installed into FSX.

Re: Spitfire Installation Problem
Ok Wayne we *may* have it... again forgive if I teach grandma to suck eggs....
Please check again in "X" : /Programs/MicrosoftGames/Flight Simulator/SimObjects/aircraft... directory ("X" probably being C: for and Programs may be programs86) and check for the WOP III Spitfire directory and files.
If they are not there then what you have is the DOWNLOAD but that does not AUTOMATICALLY install the aircraft, you need to click on those downloads to install.
Again, don't wish to appear to be treating like a child!! But it is easy to get confused in all of the directory structures and files and I am seriously running out of ideas as to how this could happen.
(And if you are a commercial investigator testing customer support, I hope you burn in hell ) Most definitely a JOKE!!
best regards and don't worry, we will get this sorted one way or another!
